2022-2023 DATA REPORTING

ATTENDANCE DATA REVIEW

As part of an internal review of data submitted to the Level 2 Data Warehouse, NYSED has identified data quality issues statewide relating to Day Calendar and Student Daily Attendance templates. NYSED has highlighted the SIRS-370, SIRS-371, SIRS-375, and SIRS-107 reports to be reviewed as part of this process, with particular attention to be paid to any records showing as having 'missing' attendance.

NYSED will be reopening the data warehouse to accept resubmissions of 2022-2023 data for these templates up until noon on Friday, September 15th. Any district wishing to review and resubmit data for these templates should contact datareadiness to have these templates loaded manually into Level 0. Please note, because this option is available for a single week, no review of the submitted data in L2RPT is possible.

During the maintenance window, Oracle environments will be offline and local Cognos reporting will be unavailable.

Level 2 (L2RPT) Cognos reporting will not be impacted.

STATE ASSESSMENT EMBARGO

As a reminder, 3-8 and Regents assessments from the 2022-2023 school year REMAIN UNDER EMBARGO. These results cannot be shared in a public setting, such as a Board of Education Meeting. They can be shared in closed or executive settings, or in a school building setting where they are being used for instructional purposes.

STAFF EVALUATION

22-23 PLANS

Staff Evaluation reporting is required as part of SIRS reporting this year for all districts and BOCES. As this reporting has not been required in several years, SED has provided a list (click the picture to the left) noting which evaluation plan each district and BOCES in the region is utilizing.

If your plan has not been amended since December 31, 2019, a portion of your staff may need to report Transition scores and ratings. All other districts and BOCES would report Original scores and ratings.

If you are unsure what you should be reporting, please refer to your APPR plan which is posted publicly here: Educator Evaluation Plans.

SEPTEMBER MONTHLY DATA FOCUS

SEDDAS AND SEDREF

This Month's Focus:

Ensuring your district's key staff are registered with NYSED.

SEDDAS enables staff to view reports, certification forms. and other key resources from NYSED. It is also where L2RPT report access is managed.

SEDREF houses the list of contacts that NYSED uses to reach out to your district.

Please review the Monthly Focus document, included to the left, and contact us if you have any questions.
