United Methodist Men 2025 Annual Report

The First United Methodist Men give thanks for another year of service, fellowship, and mission outreach in our church and community. Throughout 2025, the UMM continued its commitment to supporting ministries that care for the hungry, the vulnerable, and those in need across Davidson County and beyond.

The United Methodist Men meet regularly on the third Sunday morning of each month at 8:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall for a southern-style breakfast, an engaging program speaker, and uplifting Christian fellowship. We welcome all church members to join us—whether you are seeking fellowship, looking to get more involved, or simply want to share a meal and conversation. Come be part of Methodist Men committed to discipleship, service, and Christian brotherhood.

Major Events & Mission Activities

David G. Miller Memorial Port-A-Pit Chicken Fundraisers

This year, the UMM successfully hosted two Port-A-Pit Chicken Dinners — one in spring and one in fall — raising funds for mission outreach with strong support from the congregation and community.

  • Spring Event – Friday, May 16, 2025 - Meals included BBQ chicken, slaw, beans, roll, and dessert. The United Women in Faith also held a Bake Sale to support local mission projects.
  • Fall Event – Friday, September 12, 2025 - A second successful fundraiser with continued partnership from the United Women in Faith Bake Sale.
