Evangelism & Hospitality Fellowship Meal

Lenten Church-Wide Mission Project

Items requested for parents and babies in the NICU. Detailed lists with instructions are located at the back of the sanctuary and online Events & News section. Monetary donations are also appreciated. The time and location for each class will be determined by the group leaders with input from the group. Classes will start March/April. In an effort to encourage participation from First UMC members, they will be accommodated first, and then the groups will be opened up to friends and community.

Notes of Sympathy

Sympathy of the ministers and members of the congregation is extended to Jim Dillon and family upon the occasion of the death of his sister, Bettye Dillon Gray on February 2, 2026 in Lynchburg, VA. She celebrated her 100th birthday on July 23, 2025 and, at that time, was the oldest living member of First UMC.


Sympathy of the ministers and members of the congregation is extended to Don (Sarah) Phelps and family upon the occasion of the death of his sister, Nancy Phelps Nance, on February 6, 2026.
