GLENBARD PARENT SERIES
Tonight, Tuesday, February 23, at 7 p.m., hear from Tara Westover, author of Educated. Her inspirational memoir is a testament to Westover’s courage as she struggles to reconcile her desire for education with her desire to be loyal to her survivalist, isolated, and violent family. After her first experience in a classroom at 17, her passion to be educated took her to Harvard University and Cambridge, where she earned her PhD. Tara Westover will be interviewed in conversation with Heidi Stevens of the Chicago Tribune. This event will be a highlight of the 25th anniversary of GPS and live-streamed by the College of DuPage here.

COLLEGE OF DUPAGE GENCYBER CAMPS
GenCyber programs provide summer cybersecurity camp experiences for students and teachers at the K-12 level. The goals of the program are to help all students understand correct and safe online behavior, increase interest in cybersecurity careers and increase diversity in the cybersecurity workforce in the U.S., and improve teaching methods for delivering cybersecurity content in K-12 computer science curricula. Applications will be accepted for the various camps through April 15. Check out more information here.

PANDEMIC RESOURCES VIRTUAL BACKPACK
The DuPage County Health Department would love for you to take advantage of the many free resources they have made available and share it with your communities.

"Our Best Shot Against COVID-19," a fact sheet on the COVID-19 vaccine, is available in English, Spanish, Polish, Chinese, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Pashto, and Malay. Please share it with your students and families, especially those who speak one of these languages.

Additionally, the "COVID-19 Vaccine Education and Outreach Toolkit" contains links to English and Spanish fact sheets, social media graphics, and messaging.
