Parents as Teachers (PAT)
In May, PAT continued its efforts to raise awareness of healthy lifestyles by hosting a Family Group Connection centered around the children's book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar . The book promotes healthy eating, teaches children about colors, fruits, numbers, days of the week, and the concept of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. Families enjoyed readings of the book in both English and Spanish, read by our friends from the Addison Public Library. In addition, families were able to make true connections to the book as they engaged in activities that promoted learning around movement, colors, fruits and healthy eating.
Be sure to check back in August for the full list of 2019 - 2020 Network offerings
