As of October 1, 2025, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has ended the decades‑long “general waiver” that allowed manufactured products in federal‑aid highway projects to be sourced broadly rather than domestically.
Under the new rule, projects obligated from that date must have the final assembly of manufactured goods in the United States, and by October 1, 2026, at least 55 % of component costs must originate in the United States.
MoboTrex cabinets, SA poly signals, SG poly signals, aluminum signals, and backplates are all Build America, Buy America (BABA) Compliant, proudly built in the United States by American workers.
