Once Upon a Time in Israel: Kings, Dreams, and Schemes
Hollywood's got nothing on the Bible this summer. This season's hottest film hitting the big screen can't compare to the blockbuster stories about the prophets Elijah and Elisha found in the pages of 1 and 2 Kings. Join us beginning Sunday, June 30 for this riveting series about a couple of God's boldest and best-known witnesses.

This week's message will be " The Widow at Zarapheth," by Rev. Catherine Fluck Price.
Wednesday Worship
This week's message will be "Burn the Ships" by Rev. Steve Price.
Mission Box
This week's mission box will support the Florida United Methodist Children's Home Madison Youth Ranch. The Ranch is a place of love and safety for children who are desperately in need of both. The focus of these funds will go toward making a difference in these children's lives. (Text giving: text amount and ("home" to 352-204-0163)
It's a Welcome Party!

You won't want to miss his first day with us, as he shares about his own calling and journey into ordained ministry. Immediately following the second service, there will be a lunch to celebrate his arrival and give you an opportunity to meet him personally.

Pricing for the lunch is $7 for adults and $3 for children (0-5 years old is free) with a family cap of $25. Reservations are not required, but if you want to let us know you're coming in order to help us with a head count, please contact Amy at 416-3005.

Roof Update
Great news! The replacement of the Trinity roof is underway! Architectural Sheet Metal has begun work on portion of the roof over the education building and then will continue on to the worship center.
To all who have already made a gift and/or completed a pledge toward this project, we say "Thank You!" If you would like to make a new or additional gift, you can do so here.
Gifts received to date have exceeded $440,000. The entire project, which includes the roof replacement as well as pressure washing, repainting the exterior of the worship center and education facilities, and repainting the interior of the worship center, is expected to total approximately $1.1 million. Church Council has approved a loan of up to $750,000 to cover the balance of the project that exceeds cash on hand. Every gift toward the project helps reduce the amount needed for the loan.

The Return of the Prodigal Son
"The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15: 11-32) is a biblical parable that nearly everyone can relate to. During this book discussion we will be reading Henri Nouwen's book, The Return of the Prodigal Son, which explores a variety of spiritual themes all pointing to one question: "Where has my struggle led me?" This book takes readers on a detailed journey through three parts diving into each of the three main characters of the parable: the younger son, the elder son, and the father. In the book, Nouwen reflects on his own life experiences as they relate to the parable, and in the class, participants will be encouraged to do the same. Henri Nouwen was inspired to write this book after experiencing Rembrandt's famous painting Prodigal Son, which hangs in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the painting serves as a way for readers to visualize many of the parable's themes. Please come prepared to discuss the intersection between scripture, life, and art!
