This week's Mission Box is House of Hope. The House of Hope of Gainesville has been serving the community since 1996. It is a prison transitional ministry helping men and women mend their lives from the consequences of crime. The program is Christ-centered, and its participants live in a home like a family. The belief is that love and support changes people from the inside out. "For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me." - Matthew 25:35-40. (Text TrinityGNV to 779-77 for a link to give to the Mission Box with Pushpay.)

Family Promise will be our guests again from October 13-20. Family Promise is an organization that keeps homeless children and their families together while they work on getting their lives on track and finding permanent housing. Trinity, along with a number of other congregations, houses these families four times a year in our church for a week. If you'd like to support this effort, you can help by setting up the rooms, spending a night, having dinner with the families, providing food, and taking laundry home at the end of the week! It takes a village, and we appreciate any help you can lend. You can sign up to help here.
