Worship: Sundays @ 8:15, 9:40, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm
It Starts with the Core
Just as strengthening the core of our body is vital to our overall fitness, core values are vital to who we are as a church.  They remind us of the essence of our identity - our principles, our beliefs, who we are, and how we behave.  They tell us and others who we are.  They tell us and others about what our priorities are....and are not.  Join us for the next four weeks as we prepare for the exciting future of Trinity by looking at who we are at our core and how that will guide us.

This week's sermon is "Christ Minded," by Rev. Steve Price.

Pastor and Staff Appreciation Month
Pastor Appreciation Day began with the establishment of Clergy Appreciation Month. In 1st Timothy, Paul began the concept of clergy appreciation when he stated that the elders of the church are worthy of a double honor. He reiterated this idea in 1st Thessalonians when he stated that that those who work hard among you should be held in the highest regard for their work. This idea became Clergy Appreciation Month in 1992, established by pastors and religious workers. Eventually, Pastor Appreciation Day (2nd Sunday in October) would form out of this month. In 1994, Focus on the Family's Pastoral Ministries Department joined with other ministries to co-sponsor Pastor and Staff Appreciation Month and made this observance one of their major emphases.

Those who shepherd and serve us need our love, encouragement and support. Pastor and Staff Appreciation Month gives us a special opportunity to honor our pastors, church staff, and their families with personal expressions of appreciation and gratitude for their hard work, sacrificial dedication and provision of multiple blessings.

"Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other." Romans 12:10.

"It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." Ephesians 4:11-13.

Please express your love, gratitude and appreciation to all of the Trinity staff for their spiritual leadership, teaching, vision, service, and many ministries they lead with their God-given gifts to build our Christian community into maturity and the fullness of Christ. If you would like to write a note of appreciation to a staff person, please bring it with you to worship on October 14 and place it in the basket in the narthex.

Christian love and sympathy is extended
to Lisa Sirois, Donald Furlong, Raymond Furlong, Richard Furlong, and families on the passing of their father,  Donald Arthur Furlong on October 8.
