Wednesday Worship

No Bull Bibles & Brew
Come on out to Crafty Bastard's Restaurant and Pub the 1st Monday of each month for  No   Bull . Have a favorite beverage and listen to the Trinity band in the bar area from 5:30 to 6:10 pm, then connect with others for spirited conversation about life and faith from 6:10 to 7:00 pm. Bring a friend and join in the fun!
Wednesday Night Dinners
Join us for food, fun, and fellowship! The menu for September 25 is Chimchurri Salmon, Roasted Baby Potatoes, Roasted Carrots and Asparagus, Jasmine Rice, Soup, Salad, and Dessert. Dairy and gluten free options are available. The kitchen is open from 5:00 - 6:30 pm. Adult meals are $7, children 6 and up are $3, and 0-5 eat free, with a $25 family cap.
It takes a lot of hands to make this weekly fellowship successful. If you are able to assist the kitchen in any way, contact  Chris Riggs .  
Mission Box
This week's Mission Box will support Rethinking Conflict, a non-profit social enterprise working in the field of conflict transformation, peace-building, and reconciliation. Their founder is Rev. Dr. Gary Mason, our guest preacher for this weekend. Gary played an instrumental role in the Northern Irish Peace Process and has been formally recognized by Queen Elizabeth II for his work in peace-making and reconciliation. While serving as the pastor of the East Belfast Mission, Gary played a leading role in establishing the Skainos project in inner city Belfast, a world-class urban social justice center, developed in a post-conflict society as a model of coexistence and shared space. (Text TrinityGNV to 779-77 for a link to give to the Mission Box with Pushpay.)
Women's Retreat
The Trinity Women's Retreat,  The Road Best Traveled , is coming this Spring!  The retreat will be the weekend of March 6-8, 2020 at the Warren Willis United Methodist Camp and Conference Center in Leesburg, FL.  The Guest Speaker will be Dr. Rhonda VanDyke, and the Music Leader will be Lora Landon.  Food and lodging cost $ 135  for a double room and $ 175  for a single room.

Fall Harvest
Fall Harvest is around the corner! Mark your calendar for a fun afternoon on October 27, 2019 from 3:30 - 6:30 pm. Sign-up is open for trunks and volunteers. Candy donations can be brought to the front reception desk or placed in the bin outside the Children & Family Ministries Office (Room 108).
The Elder Options Impact Award
Thank you to John Foltz for nominating Trinity for the Elder Options Impact Award! John, who has been a member of Trinity for over 50 years, has been serving as a volunteer for the past 11 years with Elder Options to help educate and counsel others about Medicare. He and Susan Kovi, our Director of Facilities, have been partnering in order to have dedicated space for John to meet with new and recurring clients on our campus to serve them in this capacity. Thank you, again, John, for your service to the community!
Faith Mission
We have great volunteer-servant opportunities through  Faith Mission ! A priority need this fall continues to be with the  Kids Count  After-School Program, where you will be a part of Winning Reading Boost, a wonderful literacy program, with openings several afternoons each week and particularly Thursdays. For more information, contact Keri Neel (352-244-9723 ).
Adult Ministries
A Disciple's Path:  A Disciple's Path is a class for someone wishing to become a member of Trinity or a refresher course for seasoned church members desiring to take the next step in discipleship. It is a unique and engaging approach to the study of discipleship within the context of the Wesleyan/United Methodist heritage and tradition.  All are welcome to participate. If you are already a Trinity Member who would like to participate in this study, class materials will be $20. You will receive your class materials on the first day of class.

Prayer Journaling:  Deepen your relationship with God by enhancing your communication with God through new avenues. You don't have to be a writer or artist or even like journaling. We will put our personal prayers and reflections on paper using guided writings and color our thoughts while listening to calming background music.  Bring your Bible, a journal or paper, and your favorite pen.

Caring and Support
GriefShare: It's not too late to join our grief support group here at Trinity! Our group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives.  You will find help and encouragement after the death of your loved one. We meet on Wednesdays from 6:45 - 8:15 pm in Room 211 (Education Building). Members of Trinity and the Gainesville community are all welcome!

This position is part of the leadership team at Trinity and will be responsible for re-imagining discipleship; coordinating adult faith-building classes; managing the Trinity bookstore; recruiting, training and encouraging servant volunteers; and coordinating hospitality activities and events.
