Dear Staten Island Academy Families,

It is hard to believe that January is over and we are about half way through another wonderful academic year at Staten Island Academy! We are already well underway preparing for next year creating course catalogs, the academic calendar and our campus master plan. Our Board of Trustees met and approved the tuition and budget for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is crucial for the Academy as we are strategically planning for the future and continuing to build upon our strong program and reputation of academic excellence.

We are continuing to invest in what matters most; outstanding teachers, innovative academic programs, expanded student opportunities, and a learning environment where every child can thrive. These investments strengthen the school our students experience every day and help us build an even brighter future for our Staten Island Academy community. As you know, we take pride in the strength of our programs and continue to identify ways to grow and enhance our academics, arts and athletics, as well as, sustain financial aid to ensure that children who qualify academically, have access to our outstanding Academy education. Everything we do today and in the future is to support the strong mission of our school.

Students are at the heart of the Staten Island Academy community. Rooted in our history as an independent school since 1884, Staten Island Academy provides an atmosphere that balances intellectual challenge, artistic expression, athletic engagement, and service learning. On our campus, we prepare students to be analytical and ethical thinkers, bold advocates, compassionate leaders, and lifelong learners. We embrace the differences of our shared humanity through open and ongoing dialogue, fostering an individual and collective sense of belonging. Ultimately, student growth is the measure of our success.

In the coming weeks, you will be receiving more information from the Business and the Admissions Offices when the Portal will open with your enrollment agreement and Opening and Closing Dates for the 2026-2027 school year.

We will continue to build upon our successes, learn from our challenges and work collaboratively to ensure that Staten Island Academy remains a place of educational excellence in academics, arts and athletics all while being a supportive, innovative and inclusive school community.
