Hello Class of 2024,

Welcome to September. What a first couple of weeks! Together, we experienced a new Tulane academic experience through virtual and physically-distanced in-person class models. We prepared for, and are now recovering from and assisting our neighbors with, Hurricane Laura and Marco. You all continued to forge new connections with each other: finding new friends, communities of care, and new opportunities for self-enrichment.

All of this achieved while still practicing safe physical and social practices during COVID-19 through wearing masks, social distancing, and regular testing. It is quite remarkable how adaptive and creative the Tulane community can be during stressful and unpredictable times; and we could not be more grateful to consider you a part of our Tulane family.

Questions? We are here to point you in the right direction. Contact our team by emailing orientation@tulane.edu. You'll also find helpful resources on our website, orientation.tulane.edu. Make sure to follow us on Instagram (@tulanenslp) to get to know our team and learn about resources for new students!

First-Year Faces: We want to get to know you!

We want to feature you! First-Year Faces is an Instagram series created by Team NSLP starred by the first-year class. The series highlights Tulane students by allowing them a platform to introduce themselves, speak on their transition to Tulane, and offer insight into the first-year experience.

Help us introduce the larger Tulane community to our outstanding Tulane first-year class of 2024 by submitting nominations for First-Year Faces. You can nominate yourself or another first-year you would like to spotlight. All interviews (brief!) will be virtual and only photo submissions of you in Tulane gear will be accepted.

You can send nominations in three ways: via this Nomination Form on WaveSync; direct message us on Instagram (@tulanenslp); or e-mail us at orientation@tulane.edu.
Resource Highlight: Counseling Center Groups for Fall 2020

Facilitated by Counseling Center clinicians, groups are a great way of getting support through talking with other Tulane students with similar concerns. An initial consultation appointment will help determine if a group is a good fit for you.
