Volume 057 March 2025

"Don't try to comprehend with your mind. Your minds are very limited. Use your intuition." -Madeleine L'Engle

Hello Sheila,

Happy March and beginning of spring, the final month of the first quarter of 2025.

I love writing these newsletters each month and really tune into the energies we are experiencing. There is an increase in misinformation and it's so easy to react to the constant influx of information from a myriad of sources. My aim is to share a perspective based on my experiences, education, and intuition. While I recognize the tumult all around, I choose to focus on what is possible in each moment, each day, each month.

March is an interesting month. As the light increases moving towards equinox and beyond there is a feeling of acceleration coming. It turns out the rotation of the Earth really does pick up some momentum and is increasingly faster from Spring through summer in the northern hemisphere. Then it slows down again at the September equinox. This is due to the atmospheric conditions that shift as the earth, tilted on its axis, makes its revolution around the sun. I expect this year we will greatly notice this heightened pace all around us and all around the globe.

In many traditional cultures, March represents the end of the year as the equinox or the first of April are considered the beginning of the new year. We continue through a season of clearing and purification in preparation for the celebrations of renewal to come in late March and April. While January is the beginning of the calendar year, Spring is the beginning of new life after the darkness and hibernation of winter.

We are experiencing changes at a dizzying speed, too fast for our minds to keep up with. As I’ve mentioned before, we are moving into a time that we must rely on our intuition to guide us. That means we must focus awareness less on the head and the mind and more on our heartspace, our gut feelings, and our inner knowing. There are things going on around us that don’t make sense and that can’t be explained with the logical mind and even being directed by forces beyond our control. More than ever, we must mind ourselves; and be a beacon of light in the chaos and darkness.

It may be a great reckoning we are experiencing, and it may also be a great opportunity to be better, to move closer to oneness. In order to do this, we have to tune in; not to the news or to social media or to the external world, but tune into our inner world, spirit, soul, and connect to that deeper knowing. It is about feeling our way through rather than thinking it through.

The focus of the month is: Inner Trust.

It’s important to be able to trust yourself and be connected and accountable to your own thoughts and words and actions. That will mean something different for each of us. Some may become more introverted and inward looking leaning into prayer and meditation; others will become more vocal and active. Both are important, and it's not our role to judge others. And it’s only for us to decide, each one for our own selves, how we will live each day to its highest potential. For as we tune into that inner trust and knowing in pursuit of love, beauty, creativity, and kindness, it creates a ripple effect into our local and even global communities. As we go inward and trust, we then take inspired action to be the change we want to see in the world.

We've already been through a lot this year. In January we focused on Restfulness, followed by Release in February. And now as things appear to be getting even more intense, we must move to that place of inner trust. When we take inspired action within the realm of that which we can control, we are creating a shift for ourselves and the collective. Every soul that chooses love and light expands the total love and light on the planet.

It's a time of radical self-care of body, mind, & spirit. This kind of self-care is taking corrective actions before problems further develop. Our bodies are giving us feedback every day and we have a lot of tools to keep ourselves in balance. We can only be our best when we have health, clarity, and vitality in our whole selves.

I invite you to check out the content on my website where you will find blog posts on a variety of relevant topics as well as past newsletters. Share this with friends who you think would be interested, supported and inspired.

In the meaning, let's keep in mind the Serenity Prayer and refer to is as needed in the coming weeks.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

May you find a space of stillness and peace this month as you practice tuning into inner trust.

Cheers,

Sheila

Challenges of the month - INNER TRUST

Our body, mind, and spirit are all connected. Many things will support more than one simultaneously. Also, when we focus on one area we may find ourselves uplifted in other areas as well. In terms of focusing on inner trust, it's about practicing mindfulness and taking that pause to be conscious and present throughout each day.

Stay hydrated and get plenty of protein to have energy throughout the day and support all cellular processes, to make good decisions, have healthy digestion, muscle recovery, and so much more.

Choose one challenge focus on for yourself this month. Take a moment and really choose which one most resonates most and may make the greatest impact for yourself. Practice self-compassion.

Body - Mind - Spirit

  • Tune into your inner trust and intuition each morning.
  • Get out and walk. The weather is warmer and days are longer. Try walking without listening to anything and just being present in all of your senses.
  • Try intuitive eating. Check in with your body and get feedback on what will be most nourishing.
  • Take more pauses throughout the day. Notice when your thoughts and emotions are shifting and coming from external inputs. Refocus on that sense of inner trust.
  • Use music to move and process intense emotions.

I love focusing on just a couple of things at a time. Remember this is about building strong foundations one brick at a time. Continue to stay well hydrated, get plenty of movement throughout the day, don't skimp on sleep, and practice gratitude.

MENU OF THE MONTH:

While we are focusing on inner trust this month, it's a good time to check in with your body about what it needs for each meal. It's a practice that I started a few years ago. Take a moment to check in with your body each day or for a particular meal and ask your body the question, "what do you need to be nourished today?" And then trust the feedback you receive.

These menus are meant for you to adapt them to your likes and preferences and what fits best into your life and your regular meals. They are a framework meant to be adjusted.

March is the beginning of a new season. In our meals, we will move away from the heavier stews of winter to lighter foods and bitter flavors that clear and refresh the system.

Breakfast:

Avocado Toast with poached eggs or other protein of choice

Lunch:

Mixed salad with arugula, radicchio, celery, carrots, feta, and sunflower seeds

Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts

Snack:

Olives with Crudité and hummus

Dinner:

Pan-fried cod

Roasted cabbage and onions

Cauliflower purée

After dinner/bedtime beverage:

Nettle Tea
