Tupelo Music Hall in Derry

Good morning everyone,

We have been busy getting the venue ready for indoor shows and touching up all of the paint so it looks fresh for this weekend! It might be a short-lived victory but at least those coming to our sold out DUELING PIANOS show will get to see how great everything looks.

With the severe uptick in cases and all of the states around us changing their policies (which greatly affects venues and restaurants) we are finding that, once again, we are going to be forced to shut down for a while. I can’t believe I actually have to put that in writing. This country should have got this virus under control by now. With any luck, we will get through our December shows, but we won’t be booking any new shows for a while. We are already losing recently booked 2020 shows because of band members not wanting to travel in such a risky environment and due to restrictions of other states that are affecting bands trying to travel. Because of these things, our show this Sunday with BROKEN ARROW has been cancelled.

We will definitely be closed for part of December and all of January. After that, I guess we will see what happens and decide as we go. Unfortunately, we won’t be having a New Year’s show this year for the first time in 16 years. Every year, we would blow up balloons for hours so that we could drop them at midnight. I am going to miss doing that this year.

As I have stated numerous times before, Tupelo Music Hall isn’t going to have shows if we feel it isn’t safe to do so. The State of New Hampshire will probably never completely shut down venues but performing arts centers are beginning to announce plans to close for a while. From everything I am reading, it appears that things could get really bad a few weeks after Thanksgiving. I will let you know what our plans are further down the road when we have enough information to make real decisions about how long we will be closed.

Stay safe. Be kind. We are all in this together.

If we ever a time that we needed to laugh, it is now! Featuring Robbie Printz and Jason Merrill, this is going to be a great night out.

November 29 THE BRITISH INVASION YEARS (5pm & 8pm)
The British Invasion Years: More than just the Beatles, this nostalgic musical tribute spans the entire 60s British Invasion era with music from BOTH sides of the Atlantic, and is three acts in one:

The first act includes songs by iconic British groups such as The Zombies, Dave Clark Five, The Rolling Stones, The Hollies, Herman’s Hermits, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Manfred Mann and many others.

The American Response follows, with music by such legendary artists as The Monkees, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Mamas and The Papas, The Turtles, Paul Revere & The Raiders, to name just a few.

This journey through the 1960s concludes with an extraordinary finale with songs from the four lads that started it all– The Beatles! “When we came up with the idea for a finale, we posed the question, ‘What if the Beatles had to perform their music today as the four-piece band they were?’. The result is truly astounding.” - (Listen)
