Lisa Turbitt becomes first female to umpire World Baseball Classic Game

Baseball Ontario's own Lisa Turbitt broke barriers last weekend when she worked the plate as the first female in WBC history to umpire a game!

Lisa is a Master Course Conductor and Level 5 umpire from Burlington. She has been a member of the Baseball Ontario Umpire’s Committee since 1998 and has been a National Umpire since 1995. Lisa is also a member of the Baseball Canada Grass Roots Committee. She has umpired/supervised at over 20 National Championships and 8 International Championships.
