Mrs. Audrey Cooper

As a child, I played kickball in their side yard, attended fish frys in their driveway and built treehouses in vacant lots with their children. “Aunt” Audrey, Mayor Ernie Cooper and their children were the hometown neighbors who any of us would wish to have. She was a fixture at the hospital, her volunteer hours helping lay the foundation for what St. Tammany Parish Health System is today.

Her presence at St. Peter Catholic Church and her prayers helped make our small town special. With her passing, I offer condolences to her family and prayers for her and all of her family members on behalf of their town (our town). She was a wonderful person.
