In recognition of Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week (May 4-10), Felton is highlighting its Connect and Thrive (CAT) program. CAT is an innovative early childhood mental health program strengthening relationships between young children and the adults who care for them, both at home and in educational settings. The Kimochis Social-Emotional Learning curriculum uses stuffed animals called “CharacAAters” to teach children about different temperaments, understanding feelings, and learning effective communication tools.
