Sage-ing International presents a new opportunity!

In 2023, Sage-ing International introduced a new program, Turning Points, a series of highly inspirational interviews featuring amazing thought leaders who have inspired many people on their conscious aging journeys. The feedback from both interviewees and participants has been so overwhelmingly positive, that SI has decided to offer the individual video podcast interviews to new registrants to view for 60 days.

What makes these interviews so unique is that they do not focus on the careers and successes of these accomplished thought leaders; rather, they focus on the significant turning points in their lives, the times of struggle and transformation along with the wisdom gained from their own experiences of uncertainty, missteps, and difficulties. From their shared stories, we will learn more about how these difficulties in life have the power to lead to meaningful new beginnings. We will be inspired to reflect on those “dark nights” in our own lives and to adopt some of these valuable learnings of others.

March 12th - Jamal Rahman

Jamal Rahman is a popular speaker on Islam, Sufi spirituality, and interfaith relations. Along with his Interfaith Amigos, Jamal has been featured in the New York Times, CBS News, BBC, and various NPR programs.

Jamal is a co-founder and Muslim Sufi minister at Interfaith Community Sanctuary and adjunct faculty at Seattle University. He is a former co-host of Interfaith Talk Radio and travels nationally and internationally, presenting at retreats and workshops. Jamal's latest book, The Teachers of Spiritual Wisdom: Gaining Perspective on Life’s Perplexing Questions is co-authored with Duncan S. Ferguson and Mary Petrina Boyd.

Jamal's passion lies in interfaith community building. He remains rooted in his Islamic tradition and cultivates a "spaciousness" by being open to the beauty and wisdom of other faiths. By authentically and appreciatively understanding other paths, Jamal feels he has become a better Muslim. This spaciousness is not about conversion but about completion.
