We had a great event with Coastlove in September!

We were excited to be part of the Education Village at the Stock Island Cleanup & Community Day on September 24th! It was an amazing day full of fantastic education, food, and so many wonderful CLEAN-UPS!

Hurricane Ian Update

We are very thankful that Hurricane Ian did not make a direct hit in the Florida Keys. While there was still significant damage in some Keys areas, our hearts and thoughts are with those harder hit Florida communities as they try to recover from the devastation.

We have had reports of both turtle eggs and washback hatchlings (hatchlings washed back to the beach) after the storm. Unfortunately, any eggs found on the beach after the storm are no longer viable. They can be buried in the sand. Washed back hatchlings may require special care. Please contact the FWCC at 888-404-FWCC (3922) for direction if you find a hatchling on the beach.

Cool Turtle Stuff Alert!
