Issue 08 / October 21, 2025

Greetings!

Please allow me the time to give a shout-out to so many in our community. From our athletic program to our drama club, it is obvious that school spirit and school pride are alive and well at Bishop Fenwick!

The palpably positive vibe at Sunday’s Open House is compelling testimony to the fact that Fenwick is on the rise. It is also inspiring evidence that our people — especially our students — care deeply about our school. This is not the case at so many other places.

Here, however, Crusader pride and spirit shine through in countless ways. Here, the black and gold jersey means more than the other jerseys. Here, as revealed in everything from service initiatives and club events to class reunions and open houses, the Fenwick Family is real.

What a blessing to be part of such a community, where we understand and appreciate the opportunity — and the responsibility — of belonging to something greater than ourselves.

As I have seen, heard, and experienced at so many moments these past few weeks, it is a grace to be part of Bishop Fenwick. I hope you feel the same.

Blessings on your day. Go Crusaders!

With Gratitude

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a successful week at Fenwick!

Special thanks to Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Boucher, Mr. Russell, and all of our proctors for overseeing PSAT testing with care and precision.

We’re also grateful to Mr. Carney and the retreat leaders for guiding our freshmen through a meaningful and memorable retreat experience.

A huge thank-you to Mr. Driscoll, Mrs. Rich, and Mrs. Hannon for planning a wonderful Admissions Open House this past weekend—and to all of our faculty, staff, and students who gave their Sunday to welcome future Crusaders and show what makes Fenwick so special (including Chef Johanne and her famous cookies!)

And finally, an all-encompassing thank you to Mr. Moya and Mr. Gonzalez, whose behind-the-scenes efforts make our campus shine for every event and visitor.

Picture Retake Day

School picture retakes will be this Thursday morning. Students who missed their photo at the start of the year, or would like to retake their picture, must see Mrs. Driscoll to pick up a form.

Band in The Stands

Spread the word to any 7th and 8th-grade instrumental students you might know that even though the deadline has passed, there are a few open spots left for this Friday! Click below for more information!

Crusading Against Cancer

This Friday's home football game (10/24) will be our Annual Crusading Against Cancer game! Make sure to wear pink! If you missed the deadline to get your Crusading Against Cancer spiritwear, check the Fenwick Band Instagram tomorrow to see if there are any extras!

Encounter IV

This fall, we have our Encounter IV retreat. The goal of “The Encounter” retreat is to rediscover the reasonableness and the joy of the Encounter with the person of Jesus Christ. Through prayer, witnesses and a shared common life, retreatants will be able to recognize Christ’s presence as relevant to their human experience.  The Encounter retreat is one of the most impactful and popular programs we run through Campus Ministry. To learn more or add your name to the waitlist, click this link or email Mr. Carney (rc@fenwick.org)!
