First Day of School
The new school year begins for Kindergarten through 8th Grade tomorrow, Thursday, August 17th! We'll begin with prayers in the parking lot at 7:40am.
PreSchoolers begin classes on Friday, August 18th. We can't wait to see everyone!

Falling Into a New Pastoral Year
We're already seeing fall decor in stores and coffee shops are rolling out their pumpkin-spice brews, so you know what that means...it's time for Fall Ministry Planning. If you're looking to meet new people or get more involved at the Parish or School, save these dates and come check out a new Ministry!

Let's Be Transformed Together. Save the Date and Spread the Word!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 26th and extend this invitation to friends and fellow parishioners. Drawing inspiration from Romans 12, we will come together to renew our hearts and minds and discern God's will for our lives. Fr. Dan looks forward to spending this meaningful morning with you as we build on Healing, Hope and Hospitality to Be Transformed.
We'll begin the day with morning Mass at 8:15am at Queen of the Rosary Church and then head over to Queen of the Rosary School for a morning of reflection. Light refreshments will be served in the morning, and we'll conclude with lunch between Noon and 12:30pm.

Is God Calling YOU?
“Lighten your burden by letting them bear it with you!” (Exodus 18:22)
Have you ever found yourself thinking, "Fr. Dan should do this," or wondering, "Why isn't our parish doing that"? If so, we invite you to prayerfully consider joining the Parish Council. Not merely a "yes" body or "rubber stamp" for Fr. Dan's ideas, this important body plays an essential role in shaping the path of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish. Parish Council acts as a bridge between parishioners and pastoral leadership.
Nominations are due to the parish office by September 1, 2023. To discover more about the position and nomination/selection process, follow this link to download the flyer and application.

Bridge to a Brighter Future
Faith is a bridge to all dreams! And education is more than just imparting knowledge, it is a bridge to a brighter future. Your generosity to our Annual Fund makes a lasting impact on our school by providing access to faith formation, quality education and a strong community for students who may not otherwise be able to afford a Catholic School education. Your donation may directed to bridge one, or more, of these gaps: The Opportunity Gap (Tuition Assistance), The Digital Divide (Infrastructure & Technology) or Safety & Security.
To make a donation to the Annual Fund and become a bridge builder:
We are grateful for your partnership and commitment to our shared vision. May God bless you abundantly for your support!

Since this is our last Supper of the season, we're cleaning out the fridge...please check the signup carefully for quantities and delivery dates. Hamburger Buns and Crescent Rolls (UNOPENED and UNCOOKED) need to be delivered by NOON on Wednesday, September 6th. Thank you for your generosity!
| |
NOTE: We really need volunteers to bake Hashbrown Casserole and to help the day of the Supper! | |
Day of Remembrance for the Unborn
Respect Life Ministry and Fr. Dan invite everyone to join in prayer on September 9th at 4:30pm in the Marian Garden at St. Julian Eymard Church (weather permitting) as part of the National Day of Remembrance for the Unborn. We support a culture that respects life from conception to natural death because all of God's children are precious.

| Co-Working with God. A new practice this season from Ablaze Family Ministries: Have a long to-do list? Try checking in with God before each new task. Simply ask Him to give you renewed strength and a bright mind. This reminds us that each day can easily be lived in relationship with Him, no matter how busy. | |
Eucharistic Adoration. As Pope Francis recently noted in an address from World Youth Day in Portugal, "Here I would like to ask a question, which everyone can respond in his or her heart: How do I pray? As a “blah, blah, blah”, half asleep before the tabernacle because I don’t know how to talk to the Lord. Do I pray? How do I pray? Only in adoration, only in the presence of the Lord, do we truly rediscover our taste and passion for evangelization."
In addition to our First Friday devotion, don't forget that we have opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration every week. Adoration begins at the conclusion of the 8:15am daily Mass:
-
Wednesdays at St. Julian Eymard Church, until approximately 8:00pm when Reconciliation concludes.
-
Saturdays at Queen of the Rosary Church, until approximately 1:00pm when Reconciliation concludes.

Does it deepen your relationship with God? Does it change your outlook? Are you doing something you'd like to share with the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament faith community?
