Blessing of Animals

The Annual Blessing of Animals at Assumption on Sunday, October 6, went to the dogs! Thirty canine friends of St. Francis came with their companions for a blessing. Fr. Kishore and Br. Greg Cellini (Franciscan Brother of Brooklyn) led a prayer service which reminded all that we are all creatures of the one God and should care for and respect one another. Amen! (or Arf!)

Joy-Us Together Mass

St. Boniface and Assumption will have a joint celebration of Mass on at Assumption Church, 55 Cranberry Street, Brooklyn. This is great opportunity for the two Oratory parishes to pray together, meet one another, and catch up at a coffee hour.

In observance of this, there will be no 11:15 am Mass

Prayer for Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace: where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master,

grant that I may not so much seek

to be consoled as to console,

to be understood as to understand,

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive,

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
