Kids in 3rd - 8th Grade are invited to sing at select Sunday and Holy Day Masses. Practice begins today, Wednesday, September 13th, at Queen of the Rosary Church from 3-4pm (students may arrive as early as 2:40pm) and will continue on Wednesdays through May. This year's Hometown Parade is this Saturday, September 16th. Let's Celebrate First Responders and sho support for Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish and Queen of the Rosary School. Catechetical Sunday & Seminarian Education
Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish is pleased to welcome our very own seminarian and Queen of the Rosary School alum, Joshua Jones, to all Masses this Sunday to share his vocation story. Seminarians are our future shepherds, so please help us in supporting them by giving generously to this Sunday's second collection for Seminarian Education. You may mail in or drop marked envelopes in the passed offertory baskets, or donate online by using the fund "Seminarian Education" from our Online Giving Portal.
Additionally, Josh will be running the Chicago Marathon on October 9th. He will be running for Mission of Our Lady of Angels in Chicago; to support Josh and Mission of Our Lady of Angels, follow this link to donate online.

The Chosen Season 3 Catholic Commentary
Catholic Commentary on The Chosen helps Catholics engage with the immensely popular TV series depicting the life of Christ. Using the fullness of the faith and authentic Catholic imagination, Dr. Michael Barber and Dr. Scott Hefelfinger help Catholics approach Scripture, creative license, and more in The Chosen.
Meet Thursdays from September 21st to November 16th in the Annex at St. Julian Eymard Church or over Zoom. Season 3 episodes will be available to view at 6pm, and the Commentary videos and discussion will follow from 7pm to 8:30/9pm. Please contact the parish office to join this study (847) 979-0901.

Marriage & Family + Men's Group FMSC
Deliver hope and help break the cycle of poverty. Join Marriage & Family and Men's Group ministers at a volunteer outing to pack meals for Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg on Wednesday, September 27th at 6:45pm.

Healing & Anointing Mass
In times of uncertainty and need, our faith and unity can bring about incredible healing and change. The Good Samaritan Ministry invites us for a special Healing and Anointing Mass on Thursday, September 28th at 6:30pm in St. Julian Eymard Church. We will come together to pray for healing from hunger, homelessness and general physical ailments.
Let us remember that every act of compassion, every moment of prayer and every hand extended in friendship has the power to heal our community. Please spread the word and invite your friends, family and neighbors to join us. Together, we can be the change that our community needs.

Nobody Out In the Cold!
The PADS Shelter Program runs from October 1st to April 30th annually, and host sites welcome guests from
7pm until 7am the next morning. Guests are vetted by Journeys and sign a pledge to follow all of the host site rules and regulations to insure the safety of guests and volunteers alike.
Our neighbors at Christus Victor Lutheran Church are reopening their PADS Site this season on Sunday nights. OLBS parishioner, Don Kauffold, has agreed to be the Site Manager and our Good Samaritan Ministry will be providing meals one Sunday night a month.
But, additional roles need to be filled. Please download this info sheet and application to help make sure nobody is left out in the cold this Winter. Thank you!

| 09/09/23 - 10/29/23 Spiritual Adoption. We invite you to once again spiritually adopt and pray for an unborn baby. The culmination of our Spiritual Adoption will be a Baby Shower, following the 10:30am Mass at Queen of the Rosary Church on Sunday, June 16, 2024. NEW this year, our Prayer Shawl Ministry has graciously created Prayer Squares that we invite you to take as a tangible reminder of your commitment to pray for this unborn life for nine months. | 09/09/23 - 10/29/23 Baby Bottle Campaign. Spare change can change a life, and we invite you once again to support either The Women's Centers of Greater Chicagoland or TLC Pregnancy Centers by grabbing a bottle, filling it and returning it to the parish office by October 29th. | 09/16/23 Ground Zero Tour. Hosted by St. James in Arlington Heights, join Illinois Right to Life in support of a culture of life on Saturday, September 16th beginning at 7:30am with a special Mass for Life. | 09/27/23 40 Days for Life. NorthWest Families for Life is looking for individuals to stand vigil in front of the American Women's Medical Center, 110 S. River Road, Des Plaines on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Fall Bake Sale
Calling all bakers! Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Women's Club needs your help to bring back the Fall Bake Sale, set for October 28th/29th before and after all Masses at both Queen of the Rosary and St. Julian Eymard. This event is the primary fundraiser for our parish Women's Club, and proceeds are used to support our teachers at Queen of the Rosary School, teens in our Youth Ministry, host faith and fellowship events for women in the parish and help with parish-wide celebrations like the Parish Picnic. We know we have the best bakers around, and our Women's Club is asking for your help providing sweet treats to tempt donors. Look for signups on the Welcome Tables at church to share your favorite cookies, brownies, cakes, bars or other yummy desserts, or contact the parish office for more information (847) 979-0901.
