Summer Mission Appeal and Haiti
We extend a heartfelt note of gratitude for the extraordinary and generous response that our parishes have given to the Summer Mission Appeal and the earthquake relief in Haiti.

The spirit of support you give to our sisters and brothers, with prayers and financial resources helps knit us together as the Body of Christ. Let us continue to pray for those in need and remain open to serving the least among as embodiments of the Risen Lord.

Interfaith 9-11 Observance on the Promenade
The Brooklyn Heights Interfaith Clergy Association (BHICA) needs volunteers to staff a table to help with our Interfaith 9-11 Observance. The table will be set up on the Promenade, at the end of Montague St.

We need 2 volunteers per 30 minute shifts who can hand out supplies. Please use this sign up link, if you can take a shift during the day on Saturday, September 11. The Interfaith Service will be at 7:15pm.

We will offer supplies (pens, card stock paper, tie ribbons) to allow walkers to stop by during the day (8:30am - 7:00pm) and leave a written prayer or message tied to the fence. This has been a popular offering in recent years.

Please contact the Rev. Erika Meyer if you have any question.

Brooklyn Brownstone and Beyond Bible Study
The BBB Bible Study group will begin meeting again in September. The group consists of parishioners from St. Charles Borromeo, Assumption/St. Boniface, and St. Augustine/St. Francis Xavier.

This “term” we will focus on the books of the Prophet Isaiah. Sessions will begin on Sunday, 9/12 and conclude on Sunday, 12/19. Since the last three weeks of meetings fall during Advent, we are hoping to finish Isaiah on 11/21 and leave the last three weeks to focus on something Advent/Christmas related.

Once again, we will be using the Little Rock Bible Study Series as our text. Books will be ordered and arrangements made for picking them up. In order to help defray the cost of the materials, please contribute $5 toward the purchase of the study guides, which will be yours to keep. You can make your contribution by clicking here. We’ll provide you with the study guide and ask you to read the relevant portions beforehand, look over the questions in the text, and then we’ll use the questions as a guide to our weekly discussions.

We need to know how many copies to order, so if you are interested in participating, please sign up online here. If you have any questions, please contact Kerin Coughlin

We hope you will consider joining us - new members are always welcome!

We meet via Zoom on Sundays from 5-6pm, beginning Sept 12.
Your faithful stewardship has helped sustain our communities and maintain vital ministries and services. Thank you for keeping faith with us and supporting our common work of the gospel. You can make your donation online through PushPay by clicking on one of the links.

Prayer to Our Lady of the Oratory
Holy Mary, Mother of God we turn to you in this time of uncertainty. Help us to walk in trust and security as we care for one another. Keep the bonds of charity strong among us when we are apart. Watch over our communities and families with your maternal care. May health and wellbeing surround the Oratory parishes and all people. Teach us to say yes to God, yes to love in our hearts, yes to the Incarnate Word in our flesh. To affirm in our minds only what is true, good and beautiful. And with our whole strengthen teach us to live as true disciples of Christ. Our Lady of the Oratory intercede for us to God that the transforming grace we need may bring us peace and joy. Amen.
