Sophie Scarf is an easy-to-remember design that knits up delightfully in Twisp. Order several colors and make these your summer take-along project.
These narrow scarves add fashion punch and have the added benefit of a warm hug around your neck.
We use an Addi Rocket Squared 16" circular US #5 when we knit a Sophie Scarf. The patterns calls for a #4, so that works, too. A scarf is basically a swatch, so the gauge is not that important.
Start a scarf, knit 6-8 inches, and see if you like the needle size you've chosen. If not, pull it out and change to different needles.
HINT: Using a circular needle for a little project means that the needle is always attached to the knitting. There's less searching for a dropped needle down the side of an airplane seat or behind the sofa!
