CMS Girl Scouts giving back

Eighth-grade students Mary Katherine Akers and Alaina Dhople are working on their Girl Scout Silver Award project. Their goal is to clean 40 veteran headstones in time for Veterans Day. Their service is complimentary and a way to show appreciation to those who served the country. A special edition episode of TNN Podcasting is now available featuring Carrollton High School student Alaina Windom. Listen to the story of Alaina, how she battled and has overcome an eating disorder, and what she and others are doing to help bring awareness to this problem. CUES STEM celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Students in Mr. Charles Young are putting together a 31,000-piece world map puzzle. Once complete, the multicultural map will be displayed in the school help celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

CHS Performing Arts presents "The Spongebob Musical: Youth Edition" next week

Carrollton High School Performing Arts presents The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition on Thursday, Oct. 5, at 7:00 p.m. in the Holcombe Theater of the Mabry Center for the Arts. Directed by Tommy Cox with music direction by Julie Lowry. Stakes are higher than ever before as SpongeBob and friends face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. Join us as we present the musical adaptation of Nickelodeon’s long-running animated children’s sitcom. The show will be preceded by a few selections from the Chorus I/II class. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 770-834-2116.
