The Future of Service is Here-
Agentic AI and the Human Experience
| | |
Last week’s HDI NYC Metro session with Charles Araujo gave us a glimpse into the future: Agentic AI. It’s more than automation- it’s about self-directed systems that can learn, adapt, and make decisions.
But what does this mean for Employee Experience (EX) and Customer Experience (CX)? Here’s a quick dive into how Agentic AI will transform these worlds, and how you can stay ahead:
Agentic AI and EX
-
Digital Partners, Not Just Tools: AI can support employees by handling repetitive tasks and offering real-time guidance, allowing teams to focus on meaningful, human-centered work.
-
On-the-Job Coaching: AI can act as a digital coach, offering tips, performance feedback, and learning opportunities, supporting continuous growth.
-
Reduced Burnout: By managing routine work and surfacing relevant insights at the right time, AI helps employees feel more in control, reducing stress.
Agentic AI and CX
-
Personalized Support: AI can understand customers’ preferences and contexts, delivering seamless and relevant assistance every time.
-
Consistent Quality: No matter the channel-chat, email, or phone, AI ensures customers get the same high-quality service, every time.
-
Speedier Resolutions: AI can handle straightforward issues instantly, escalating complex ones to humans. The result? Faster, more satisfying experiences.
How to Capitalize on This Shift
-
Make AI a Partner, Not a Replacement: Design AI systems to work alongside your team, enhancing their strengths.
-
Invest in Data Literacy: Your teams need to understand how AI works, and how to use it responsibly.
-
Balance Autonomy with Oversight: Let AI act, but ensure human values remain at the center of decision-making.
Agentic AI is not just technology- it’s a shift in how we deliver service and empower our people. Let’s embrace it, together!
How are you planning to integrate Agentic AI into your EX and CX strategy? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Need tips on how to get there? write to me and let's brainstorm together.

Measure Twice, Cut Once
In DIY, and in customer experience- preparation is everything. Before launching a new initiative, pause to gather the right measurements: understand your customer journey, anticipate potential obstacles, and map out where your solutions will land.
When we rush into changes without the right preparation, small misalignments can snowball into bigger problems. But when we invest time upfront- listening, planning, and testing- we build a foundation for seamless execution.
It’s not just about home improvement; it’s about improving every interaction that shapes your brand.

Stick with It: Lessons from My DIY Backsplash
| |
Last week, on a whim, I decided to update my kitchen backsplash (for the fourth time in 25 years.) My white cabinets needed a pop of color, so I found a beautiful green mosaic peel-and-stick tile on Amazon. How hard could it be, right?
With my husband’s help, I got started, but things quickly got complicated. Despite the “easy” label, the tiles didn’t line up perfectly, left and right sides had slight differences. Even when cut identically, they started to slant, leaving a gap that grew to 1½ inches by the end. I quickly realized the wall wasn't leveled, neither were the cabinets, so why assume everything would naturally line up? Needless to say, with all the "adjustments" we had to make, we ran out of tiles mid-project and had to reorder, delaying us further.
But here’s what I learned:
-
Measure twice, order once. I should have calculated the square footage, plus a bit extra for mistakes (they always happen.)
-
Start where it matters most. Forget the corner tile, starting under the cabinets would have been easier and less visible.
-
Don’t rush the process. Fatigue leads to mistakes and frustration.
And perhaps the biggest lesson: not all “enhancements” have to break the bank. Coupled with my favorite yellow lemon dish towels, accent dishes, and fresh flowers, the new green tile brought a bright, personal touch to the space—proof that it doesn’t take a magazine-perfect kitchen to make a home feel special.
After five hours (and a few imperfections), it looks amazing—and it’s a space that’s mine.
What fun lessons have you learned from your own DIY projects? Tell me about it! Let's share and learn together.
