Above is a photo of two DIY'ers with Ruth. This week we have four already scheduled. Two are happening simultaneously because we have to Innova Autopilot Mach 3's.
Getting ready for the Holidays! As we approach the Holidays, I expect DIY quilting to increase. DIY quilting gives the quilter more ownership in their art, more satisfaction, and usually a lower cost.
With DIY quilting, you just need the top because we have extra-wide backing of 110" & 118" widths. We have 90 colors of thread. We also have Quilters' Dream Batting in all sizes and fabrics. However, you may bring your own backing and batting. It's up to you!
We have had DIY'ers do all sizes of projects. They do table runners up to large, bed sized quilts.
The DIY fee is $25 per hour. This includes the cost of the Quilters' Dream Poly Request, which can be upgraded, as you desire, with simply paying the upgrade's retail price minus the Request's price.
As mentioned before, we have 90 colors of thread The thread cost is also included in the DIY price.
At twenty-five dollars per hour, the DIY project almost always cost you significantly less than if you had us do our Professional Longarming Service.
You might wonder why one would use our Professional Longarming Service. I think there are two reasons:
- You know that we will always take that extra care and choose the best of all alternatives; and,
-
Most people do not have 3, 4, 6, or 8 contiguous hours, depending on the project size, to spare. Even though it is automated, fast, and accurate, it does take time stitching, even at up to 3,000 stitches per minute.
