Innovation Fund Solicitation Opening Soon *

This Innovation Fund invitation to negotiate (ITN) will fund multiple entities, for up to $1,000,000, for innovative ideas and program designs that address existing community needs and have not previously been implemented in our community. Proposals should demonstrate the potential through research, education or program innovation to improve: a) Conditions in which children, families or communities live, work, play or learn, and/or b) Provision and/or coordination of services for children, families or communities. All proposed projects should demonstrate how they will benefit families with children within Miami-Dade County. Individual awards will not exceed $100,000.

The Trust Seeks Operator for Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) *

The Children's Trust is seeking proposals for a single organization to operate The Children’s Trust Youth Advisory Committee (YAC), a leadership development program for high school age youth with a focus on service and civic engagement, especially relating to children and families in Miami-Dade County. The YAC serves as the youth voice of The Children’s Trust. The proposal should include student recruitment, staff engagement and retention, budgeting and purchasing, monthly meetings across Miami-Dade, activities, student-driven social media, and local and out-of-town field trip planning and execution, student-led community service project development and execution, and other program needs, while ensuring the program maintains The Children’s Trust YAC brand and identity. All proposals should also demonstrate experience with positive development of high school age youth.

The Trust Looking for Innovation Fund Application Volunteer Reviewers *

Do you live in or near Miami-Dade County? Are you interested in making a positive impact in our community? The Children’s Trust is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Application Reviewer pool for the upcoming Innovation Fund solicitation (pending board approval). This is an exciting opportunity to help select innovative projects that will benefit children and families in Miami-Dade County.

  • Individuals passionate about children’s well-being

Upcoming Literacy Peer Learning from Project RISE *

Differentiated Literacy Instruction (DLI) small groups can be full of smiles, high fives, and fun games. Project RISE’s Engaging Literacy peer learning series will be an opportunity to discuss how to make supporting struggling readers effective and fun. The orientation session is on Tuesday, January 27 from 11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Join them if you are a DLI instructor, someone who fills in for your DLI instructor when needed, or a youth development administrator who wants to learn more about engaging children during their 30-minute DLI activities. Both those new to DLI and veteran instructors who have some best practices to share with others are encouraged to join!

CDC Foundation Opens RFP for Basic Swimming/Water Safety *

The CDC Foundation is announcing a Request for Proposals (RFP) from eligible

community-serving organizations interested in partnering with the CDC Foundation to 

expand access to basic swimming and water safety skills training among children aged 

5 to 17 years. Eligible applicants will operate in Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, 

Georgia, Hawai’i, Louisiana, Michigan, New York, Oklahoma and Texas. Applicants must 

work collaboratively with local schools or school systems to facilitate program 

activities. Priority consideration will be given to programs that reach communities with 

people who have limited access to swimming and water safety training.

With support from the CDC Foundation, award recipients will work with their local 

schools or school systems to implement basic swimming and water safety skills 

training programs and evaluate skill attainment among children and youth. Interested 

organizations are asked to respond to the RFP with a proposal narrative, budget and budget narrative.

Sprinternships for FIU Students Groups Offered to Organizations

The FIU Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences is offering organizations a chance to take advantage of 3-week, immersive, paid Sprinternship to undergraduate students. Organizations will get 2-5 FIU Computing and Science undergraduate students as paid interns (funding provided by the program, not the organization). The Sprinternships provide valuable work experience and a tech-industry résumé credential that helps students land their first summer tech internship. Teacher Accelerator Program Accepting Applicants

The Teacher Accelerator Program (TAP) is now accepting applicants for the 2026 Cohort. TAP is a direct employment pathway for individuals with a bachelor’s degree or college seniors graduating in spring 2026 who are ready to become full-time classroom teachers. Participants receive high-quality training, summer classroom experience with $5,000 stipend, financial support, and support toward certification and job placement. Communications Administrative Coordinators *

The Communications Administrative Coordinator serves as the primary administrative and operational support to the Communications team, ensuring smooth coordination of budget management, procurement processes, sponsorships, and event logistics for the department. This position is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, managing internal invoicing systems, managing vendors agreements, tracking sponsorship payments, and outreach grants, and overseeing the purchasing of goods and services needed for department initiatives. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in support of the department’s objectives. Work performed by the Communications Administrative Coordinator includes but is not limited to researching and obtaining bids for services or purchased goods, monitoring agreements and their terms of services, scopes of work and quality of final product, goods or service to ensure high level output. The incumbent has latitude to make informed decisions and recommendations regarding vendor and/or materials selection; and prepares reports for the department and executive management.

Advocacy Network on Disabilities Looking for a Natural Helper *

The Natural Helper is responsible for providing assistance to the Families CAN! project by assuming responsibility for obtaining and maintaining programmatic and financial records related to Advocacy Network’s In-Home Supports and Emergency Financial Assistance Programs. This position utilizes their experience as a parent with a child with a disability to support families and assist in their success towards achieving their goals. The Natural Helper/Family Support Specialist supports success coaches working directly with families and assisting in all aspects of referral processes and maintaining family engagement in the care coordination process.  


Training and Experience Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; proficient in Microsoft Office – especially Word, Excel, and Outlook; and a minimum of two years’ experience working in an office setting – preferably in a non-profit. Individual must be very detail oriented, good with numbers, and be able to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) essential.
