Hi all,

I attended my first Labor Notes conference in 2004. I was a grad student in Industrial Relations at UW-Madison and someone kindly gave me a scholarship to attend. It was an amazing experience! The conference is held every two years, and the last time I went was in 2018. Kristin Lytie had been hired as our newest UniServ Director, but had not yet started her employment here. I had met her at the interviews, but we connected at that Labor Notes conference -- along with great sessions, there are terrific opportunities to network with folks from all over the world. It's an international gathering of labor activists!

Kristin and I are going again, April 17-19. And, we want you to come along with us! Region 3 is awarding four (4) "scholarships to attend the Labor Notes conference in Chicago! Everything is included - transportation, food, lodging, and conference registration. We'll leave as soon as we can after school on Friday, April 17 and return Sunday, April 19.

To find out more about the Labor Notes, click here . While the 2020 schedule is not yet live, you can look at the 2018 conference lineup to see what kinds of sessions are offered.

There's a short application process; click here for details . Apply today! The deadline is Monday, February 10.

Peace,
Kathy Rohde
WR3 Regional Director
