Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is one of the fastest-growing airports in the country, having experienced 28 consecutive months of growth, and 12 consecutive months of double-digit growth. The momentum is continuing, with two more nonstop destinations, Philadelphia and Sarasota, already announced for 2019.
AVL's new north terminal ramp area expansion is now complete, and in use. In response to the continued growth at the airport, AVL constructed an expanded aeronautical ramp area for commercial aircraft parking. The area is located north of the terminal, and can accommodate up to two additional aircraft.
