River Stewards Workday: Trenton's Eagle Scout Project at Jensen River Ranch
Saturday, May 11, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Come join Scout Trenton Webster on his journey to becoming an Eagle Scout. He'll be leading our River Stewards workday on Saturday, May 11. We'll be constructing and installing protective plant cages at the River Parkway Trust's Jensen River Ranch Habitat Enhancement Project.

"Ever since I was an eight year old in Cub Scouts I've wanted to become an Eagle Scout. An Eagle Project is one of the final steps for a scout before they can achieve the Eagle Rank. The project puts everything the scout has learned in their career so far and tests it, as well as giving the scout a final leadership opportunity before they graduate. The project is also meant to help the scout's community, as this project does. I would like to both help the community with this project and make my final step to earning Eagle. I would appreciate any help I can get, so please join me for my Eagle Project." - Trenton Webster

Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring a refillable water bottle. All equipment will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own work or gardening gloves.
May Gardening Angels Day
Saturday, May 11, 8:15 am to 12:00 pm
Our next Gardening Angels day will be held on Saturday, May 11, from 8:15 am to 12:00 pm. Please join us for a morning in the River Center's gardens.

The Trust's Gardening Angels help with the care and maintenance of the River Center's grounds. Tasks include removing downed palm fronds, trimming trees and vines, weeding the flower beds, and taking care of other needs. Please bring water, a pair of hand clippers and gloves if you have them, and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
We have lots of opportunities for helpful people with time to contribute. Check our website for other opportunities to get involved.
