HHS Provider Relief Funds Update
Our ADCPA group has been emailing that we are all getting calls/emails from our clients telling us clients have received an e-mail from HRSA (Health Resources & Service Administration) stating that the application they (the clients) submitted to HHS for both Phase 2 and Phase 3 will receive additional funds called “HHS3 Add-on payments”. If you have applied for HHS relief, please check your emails and junk emails. The money being offered is significant (at least to us!).
If you have not applied, please go to the HHS website at hhs.gov/providerrelief. You can find information there on the application process, the terms and conditions and frequently asked questions. Please review the rules and determine if you are eligible. If you apply and HHS determines you are eligible, you will receive Phase 3 funds through UnitedHealth Group. You can also call on the provider support line at 866-569-3522 and (hopefully) talk to a human with any questions.
As information is provided to us, we will continue to send your way. At this time, we wanted to make sure you were aware of these additional funds. In addition, you need to be aware of how you can use the funds to have the money forgiven. Please review the application for this information. This is taxable income (if it does not become a loan). And in case that freaks you out, let us put that in perspective. Our easy example is, if you receive $100,000 and pay $40,000 in tax, you will keep $60,000 in your practice. We would take that if you don’t want it. But we aren’t eligible. . .
