2014  Board of Directors

Re:  Nominating Committee Report 2013-2014

 

The Texas Oral Health Coalition Nominating Committee has selected the candidates listed below for nomination to the 2013-2014 Board of Directors.  The Board shall be composed of the elected Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer who serve terms of two

 years and six (6) Directors who serve terms of one year.  The Immediate Past Chairperson shall serve as an

unelected ex-officio member of the Board for one term of two years.  Per our Bylaws, a minimum of three Board members shall be dentists or dental hygienists.

 

Members will have the opportunity to nominate candidates from the floor at the annual general membership meeting , Friday,November 22, 2013.

The Texas Oral Health Coalition, Inc. is pleased to announce their partnership with Oral Health America (OHA) to bring local/state information and oral health resources to OHA's Wisdom Tooth Project web portal called ToothWisdom.org, an online tool to connect and educate older adults and their caregivers to care and resources in their community.

 

We invite everyone to visit the Texas State Page at

 http://www.toothwisdom.org/care/state/texas and take advantage of the oral health resources to improve your health or the health of an older adult in your life.

 
In conjunction with the launch of the ToothWisdom.org web portal Oral Health America has re-released its
State of Decay report examining oral healthcare delivery and public health factors impacting the oral health of older adults. Find out how your state fares at www.toothwisdom.org/action.

Awards to the Top 3 Winners

TxOHC is currently accepting applications for poster presentations or Table Top Clinics from students, educators, practitioners, or anyone interested in sharing their research.  

 

The Scientific Program Committee will consider the following categories for Table Top Clinic and Poster Presentations: 

  • Science and/or clinical research
  • Clinical applications, techniques or tips
  • Laboratory applications, techniques or tips

 

 Examples might be presentations on oral-systemic health; medical/dental practice issues, current research, health practice innovations and role development.

  • Please see the Guidelines for additional information.  
  • No abstract is required.
  • Monetary Cash Prizes will be awarded to the top three presentations selected by the TxOHC Scientific Program Committee.
