An important reminder that the deadline to complete your online oral health summit evaluations for continuing education (CE) credit ends December 31, 2013.

For those of you that do not need CE, we ask that you please take a quick moment to complete the online summit evaluations, so that we may receive your input in order to plan and offer you the best conference possible each year.

The planning committee is also interested in your suggestions for future topics and speakers, so be sure and add anything you wish on the evaluations under comments.

The Evaluation Instructions for your Course Attendance Verification may be found hereor go directly to Summit Evaluation to complete.

Course presentations and the TxOHC annual report may be found on the History page of the TxOHC website and pictures of the summit are posted under Overview on the Oral Health Summit page.

Grand Rounds Webcasts

This month, "Community Water Fluoridation: A Vital 21st Century Public Health Intervention" is featured.

This important session of Grand Rounds will explore the public health impact of CWF including challenges and opportunities for state and local partners.  You will also hear about new communications strategies to get important messages out to the communities.

Grand Rounds is a monthly webcast created to foster discussion on major public health issues. Each session focuses on key challenges related to a specific health topic, and explores cutting-edge scientific evidence and potential impact of different interventions.

Public Health Grand Rounds is a great opportunity for you and your colleagues to stay abreast of current public health issues in addition to receiving continuing education credits if needed.

The CDC will post recorded webcasts to their website archives section within 48 to 72 hours after the event.  At that time, they also include a segment called "Beyond the Data" -- featuring a conversation between hosts and panelists which includes key "take home" messages from each Grand Rounds session.
