Students in Mrs. Cho's Introduction to Engineering Design class were able to use a variety of skills they have learned this far to create their most recent project.
Pictured on top is Kylie Welcher's castle project. Students had to create a castle and there was a list of program features (sweep, rectangular pattern, etc) that had to be included. Other than that, they could design the castle how they wanted.
Beneath that is Daniel Chu, Jake Typrowicz, Marco Boardman, and Sammy Rokaw's redesign of a classroom. Students had somes choices on what to redesign at school (track, swimming pool, baseball field, sea king park, classroom).
There was a list of requirements for what must be included in the project (lunch benches, desks, whiteboard, etc) but other than that, they designed everything on their own.
Finally, is Daniel Chon and Jake Milam's redesign of Sea King Park.

Over 200 robot enthusiasts, including VEX teams from Palos Verdes, Peninsula, and Miraleste schools plus 25 other teams, competed in 50 qualifying rounds to make it into playoff and final matches.
PVIT had an extremely strong performance with all three teams making it to the final. The teams were 2nd seeded and 4th seeded in the final alliances.
Congratulations to PVIT team 62019X for winning the Design Award, and to Miraleste for winning the Middle School Excellence Award, which qualifies them for the State Championships. Thank you to the 100+ PVHS students volunteers who helped to make this event possible.
