Volume II Issue 21 ~ February 9th, 2020
1. Academics Spotlight
French classes celebrated la Chalendeur in class this past week. It is a French holiday that takes place on February 2nd. Students celebrated by making crepes. Every year for this holiday our French classes celebrate the coming of spring by making round golden crepes that represent the sun and the longer days of spring to come. There is a religious aspect to the holiday, but most French people gather with their families to make and enjoy crepes. They try to flip the crepe perfectly in the pan while holding a coin to bring good luck and prosperity for the year.
