Concussion News from the University of Michigan

The U-M Concussion Center and Detroit Public Schools Community District have partnered to develop a concussion toolkit to improve concussion prevention, identification, and care for student-athletes. The toolkit addresses gaps in concussion education, lists available resources, and provides information for follow-up care. It was a product of workshops with leadership from both organizations and DPSCD coaches, staff, and parents. The Michigan High School Athletic Association also contributed expertise.

U-M concussion faculty members from over a dozen campus units joined the center for a research discussion facilitated by MICHR, with contributions from the U-M Office of Research.
