U.S. Customs and Border Protection Detaining Additional Products- UFLPA

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has begun detaining additional products that have been sourced from the Chinese Xinjiang Region.

As noted in the attached article, the latest are products made of aluminum that are suspected to be source by or made with forced labor. 

As a reminder the UFLPA act covers any product or raw material that is suspected of being produced in forced labor camps. 

While cotton, tomatoes and polysilicon are still high priority, they are not the only items subject to detention and refusal.

It is imperative that importers do their due diligence and properly vet the supply chain to ensure compliance with the UFLPA act.
