U.S. Government Issues Malicious Cyber Warning;

AfA to Host SSPAC Call with TSA for Screeners Today at 14:00 EDT

Good morning,

Yesterday, the Transportation Security Administration advised Indirect Air Carriers that the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is currently tracking an unknown malicious cyber actor who is spoofing the Small Business Administration (SBA) COVID-19 loan relief webpage via phishing emails. These emails include a malicious link to the spoofed SBA website that the cyber actor is using for malicious re-directs and credential stealing.

Many Airforwarders Association members continue to be victimized by acts of cyber crime including costly ransomware and phishing attacks. For this reason, the AfA Technology Committee through its cochairs Dave Hockersmith of Trans-soft and Michelle Halkerston of Hassett Express continues to engage in this important security issue.

In the meanwhile, we look forward to receiving your feedback and questions.

AfA to Host SSPAC Call with TSA for Screeners today at 14:00 EDT

Since we have received several questions pertaining too the newly released Standard Screening Procedures for Air Cargo (SSPAC), we will be hosting a call this afternoon at 14:00 EDT to answer questions from members who screen cargo.

If you are in the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP) and would like to attend the call, please let us know so that we can share the invitation.

Please remember that this call is restricted to CCSP members only.

Thank you.
