Where the ITC goes from here depends on who wins the next two Senate and House of Representatives elections, as well as the next Presidential election.

These numbers reflect strong momentum in utility-scale solar, while distributed solar (encompassing residential, commercial, and community sectors) faces mixed conditions due to fluctuations in interest rates and policy shifts.
The fact that the grid has so far required more power than is produced is the reason solar and battery companies continue to build and add renewable energy. Then, if you add all the new facilities that will be coming online with data centers, the requirements for solar + storage will grow several times the present requirements of the national grid.
