Earn Credits This Winter Break and Study in Lovely Curacao
The law school's winter-term Program in Comparative and International Law in Curaçao provides a new perspective on the American legal system in an international context.

Through an intensive, three-week course of study in international and comparative law, the Curaçao program will help prepare you to practice law in the globalized world economy by equipping you to address international legal problems that arise in theory and practice.

This session, study International and Comparative Sports Law with Prof. Dionne Koller, and International Civil Litigation with a Hofstra professor.

Overcoming Challenges to Proving Claims of Actual Innocence

Although we hear about an increasing number of exonerations in the news, experts say this represents a small fraction of those deserving of release from incarceration. What are the obstacles to proving actual innocence in our system?

On Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6, in the Moot Courtroom, hear from two longtime practitioners, Michele Nethercott and Erica J. Suter, and a 2016 exoneree, George Seward. Nethercott wrote an article on the topic for The University of Baltimore Law Review, which organized the event.

Heather Warnken, executive director of the law school's Center for Criminal Justice Reform, will moderate the discussion. A reception will follow.
