Law Alumni News and Events

A Note from Your UBLAA President

Happy New Year to all fellow UBalt Law alums, and happy 100th anniversary to the University of Baltimore! This milestone is a great opportunity to reconnect with our alma mater and explore ways to engage.

Another great way to connect (without going out into the cold) is to nominate former classmates and colleagues for the various Alumni Awards. All it takes is a few minutes and a short form to recognize someone’s contributions to our legal community and put a spotlight on their good work. Learn more and nominate.

On a personal note, I realized that I’ve been a part of the UBalt Law community (student, active alum, faculty, adjunct) for more than half of my life and more than one-fifth of the University’s life. It’s pretty amazing to be a part of an institution in so many different ways at different times, to watch it change and grow as I too have changed and grown. I invite you to be involved, a lot or a little, and enjoy a similar connection.

UBalt Celebrates its Centennial

On Aug. 8, 1925, a group of businessmen and leaders made an unprecedented decision favoring educational access for working adults. They opened a private school to teach law and business in the heart of Baltimore. Now in 2025, we're celebrating the 100th anniversary of that innovative idea, and everything it has made possible, with a full year of celebrations.
