Deacon And Assembly Elder Recommendations Are Needed
The period of January 15-February 15 is set aside for you to recommend committed members of the congregation for positions as Deacon or Assembly Elder for three-year terms beginning June 1, 2022. You may submit your recommendation in person at UCC (front desk ballot box) or online this year. All Members are encouraged to participate. Please click here to submit your recommendations. Wednesday Bible Study Begins On February 14
The Wednesday Bible Study class will start a new series, beginning February 14 from 10:00-11:00
am via Zoom—a 10 week series. Using Walter Brueggemann’s book, Delivered Out of Empire: Pivotal Moments in the Book of Exodus, Part One, we will engage with Brueggeman’s insight into the
Hebrew people’s deliverance out of Pharaoh’s grip and enslavement. An excellent study about the

Register Your Child Today For Just Say Know Classes
Middle School 6th-8th grades: February 20, 12:15-4 pm at Ridglea Christian Church
Elementary 4th-6th grades: February 27, 12:15-4 pm at UCC
$10 per person, each child must be accompanied by at least one parent

Just Say Know is a sex-education program that is based on the underlying theme that factual knowledge coupled with spiritual insights enable individuals to make the best decisions for their lives. The programs are designed for the above recommended age groups; however, parents are the best judges of the needs of their children coupled with their readiness for the information presented. UCC and Ridglea Christian Church will partner to provide these important programs to our families. Just Say Know is part of a broad curriculum that includes Eighters Camp (attend after 8th grade). Deadline To Sign-up For Disciples Class Is February 4
Disciples Class is a Baptism & Confirmation preparation class offered to all youth who are interested in being Baptized or Confirmed. Rev. Dr. Russ Peterman will lead this 7-week class that will meet on Wednesday evenings and will focus on discipleship, the meaning of church membership and Baptism/Confirmation, and developing and articulating our own faith and beliefs.
