Read With Us The Gospel of Nobodies: Jesus as Luke Saw Him

The Gospel of Luke is a first century portrait of Jesus with a particular focus on his ministry with those who were considered nobodies. Each week, we’ll turn our attention to specific stories that illustrate Jesus’ concern for those who were marginalized by society, and as we do, we’ll hear his word for our lives today.

To help us along this journey we have put together a daily reading plan, in-depth notes on the daily readings, podcasts, reflection questions, small group discussion guides, and more.

Gospel of Nobodies

The Carpenters, a group of UCC craftsmen, are putting the finishing touches on ramps to improve access to current housing for the Mohammadi family. Time to dust off your glove, because softball is back! Men and Women ages 16 & up are welcome to join the fun on Friday nights at Gateway Park. Our first game is Friday, March 11. June 14-17, 9 am to 12 pm for ages Two –Third graders (age or grade as of Sept. 1, 2021)

Registration for UCC Members begins March 1; Open registration begins April 1;

Adult & Youth Volunteer Registration begins March 1

Peace is a prayer for some and a life’s work for others. It’s a blessing we share with others and a longing within each of our hearts. Scripture is filled with the stories of peace and justice and UCC Kids Adventure Camp is the perfect place to share these stories. Peace isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth the effort because we know that peace works! Preschoolers will meet in our preschool classrooms, while K-3rd grades will be outdoors.

ALIVE AT THE BASS: A Musical Epiphany will be an extraordinary musical celebration highlighted by the World Premiere of “The Tyger & The Lamb” by internationally renowned composer Ola Gjeilo. Mr. Gjeilo is redefining classical choral music with his hybrid compositional style that draws inspiration from improvisational jazz, established classical music structures, as well as cinema and film scores. This brand new work will feature a 140-voice festival choir, strings, piano and harp under the direction of Todd Prickett.
