Spring Cleaning in the UCCH Library

This spring, we are making an effort to “clean up” our records about which books and other materials have been borrowed from the UCCH Library over the past couple of years (during “lockdown”). If you borrowed something from the library during that time, please check your shelves. If you're still using the item, just let Barbara Wildemuth know; otherwise, please return it as soon as possible to the library. Thanks!

Negro Spirituals Celebration and Choral Workshop with Dr. Ginger Jones-Robinson

Dr. Ginger will teach spiritual arrangements in the Saturday workshop, and will direct the choir and congregation in the Sunday service. All are welcome!


A lunch of pupusas and panes de pollo will be served at 12 p.m. on Saturday, provided by Xenia Carcamo of Maestros Apoyando a Maestras (Teachers Helping Teachers)


Registration fees cover lunch and help ensure that UCCH can continue to present projects like this.

23rd Annual Mildred Council Community Dinner

Sunday, April 30 at 1pm at McDougle Middle School

UVOP singing!

The United Voices of Praise Gospel Choir will sing at this community building event, created by Mildred Council ("Mama Dip"). Mama Dip's Kitchen and the Carolina Inn provide the dinner's main courses. "National Socialism and the Holocaust: Remembering the Victims"

Lecture Series: Tuesdays, May 2-23, 1-2:30pm at the Seymour Center

UCCH member Hans Wuerth will speak at the Seymour Center (2551 Homestead Rd, Chapel Hill) on the topics:

  • May 2: 1933-39, Destruction of Democracy. The early victims;
  • May 9: The Confessing Church by Dietrich Bonhoeffer;
  • May 16: 1939-45, The “Final Solution.” The senselessness of “Total War;”
  • May 23: The victims of German resistance.
