The Sustainability Demonstration House Installed a Critter Cam!

Did you know The Sustainability Demonstration House sits next to a wildlife corridor  for native deer and dove species and is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat? 

We have a critter cam, funded by Green Action Fun d , to observe the wildlife in  our  backyard.

EU moves to tackle deforestation caused by chocolate and other products

The EU said this week it had set out a new plan to protect and restore the world's forests, which involves working with governments to promote better use of land and resources, managing supply chains, and carrying out research. A possible new regulation to "minimise the impact of EU consumption on deforestation and forest degradation" will also be assessed under the plan.

Tedx Colorado Springs is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At this event TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x is independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.

Go Green | Sustainability Internship Program

The Go Green: Sustainability Internship Program allows you to gain valuable work experience, learn new skills, and expand your knowledge of sustainability practices. While Go Green internships are voluntary, these unpaid internships can often be utilized for academic credit. Our interns have gone on to work in a wide array of jobs related to sustainability. 

Go Green: Interns have the opportunity to choose the projects they work on, and pursue something they are passionate about. Historically, students have completed a wide range of internships with the Office of Sustainability. These topics include event programming, projects management to development and implementation of Green Action Fund proposals. These internships can also offer you the opportunity to work with a wide range of community partners.
