It is precisely the vast gap in services in Lower to Middle Income Countries (LMIC) that drive UC faculty and researchers in their work to expand access to mental health services across the world. We talked with researchers and practitioners across the UC doing this vital work to improve, expand, and advocate for quality mental health services globally.
As the nation enters its thirty-fourth Domestic Violence Awareness Month, four UC Global Health Institute students are working to translate academic work into tangible positive impacts for survivors and those at risk.

The Center for Health Workforce Equity (HEAL Initiative) welcomed its 9th Fellowship Cohort. The 2023-2025 cohort of fellows participated in HEAL's introductory Global Health Training this past June, which was the largest training to date.Meet the new fellows!
Advances in Global Health is open for submissions and particularly welcomes contributions from researchers in LMICs. Advances in Global Health is a peer-reviewed, open access, research journal that is focused on advancing health equity throughout the world.
The Black Lives Matter Task Force resumed monthly meetings this September after a summer hiatus. Task Force members discussed UCGHI's strategic planning process and how to take a thoughtful and inclusive approach to relationship building across the UC and globally.
