News and Events for Libraries Supporters

Endowed University Librarian Lorelei Tanji.

As we head into the holidays and new year, I am filled with gratitude for all of UC Irvine Libraries' supporters, whose impact on the Libraries is invaluable.

Just recently, our Libraries received a $3 million gift to establish an endowment to support the highest priorities of the university librarian. In addition to helping us meet library users' evolving needs, this gift will elevate the Libraries’ critical role in supporting UCI’s mission of research, instruction, and patient care.

Our work at the Libraries is made possible by our amazing librarians, staff, and community supporters. I invite you to read our recently released 2024 Annual Report to learn more about their wonderful contributions and other exciting projects and developments.

However you've supported the Libraries, know that your contributions are appreciated. May we all have a joyous and special holiday season.
