UCIE Staff Spotlight: Fei Yu
My name is Fei Yu, working as the International Student Immigration Advisor at UCIE of WSU. I advise international students and recent graduates on immigration regulations, responsibilities, and processes. I really like this job because I can apply my education and previous work experience. Having come from China and now residing in the United States, I understand how important to follow the immigration policy and help the students make their transition to be successful.

I have been working over thirteen years in the international education area and working on the other side of this role in both China and Britain ten years ago, giving me a unique perspective to recruit students from around the world. I myself have been an international student in University of Dayton with a teaching degree. I have navigated the college academic expectation at the masters level and I know how important it is for the students to find CPT and OPT internships. I used to work in the international office of Career Service Center at UD.

I am enthusiastic to learn about different cultures. I learned Japanese at college and learned Korean language by myself. I am currently working on Spanish. I like to play piano after work to enter myself into a peaceful and relaxing world. I feel very excited to work with our UCIE professional team.
